Warranty Policy

Warranty coverage for parts purchased from our online shop, and how we handle a claim fairly.

Last Updated: September 2026

Your Legal Cover (all parts, new and pre-owned)

Every part you buy from us is covered by your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. For 6 months from delivery, if a part was faulty when you received it, or fails during normal use because of a defect, you can choose a repair, replacement, or refund — free of charge.

This applies to pre-owned (pulled) and refurbished parts in exactly the same way as new ones. You don't lose this right, whatever else these terms say.

What is Covered

  • Manufacturing or component defects present when the part was delivered
  • A part that fails during normal use because of a defect, within 6 months
  • A wrong item sent by us, or an item that is dead on arrival (see DOA below)

Parts for Self-Installation

Please read before you buy

These are electronic components intended for fitting by someone with repair and soldering skills. Many parts (such as HDMI ports and chips) can only be fitted by soldering. Fitting is done at your own risk, and we can't be responsible for damage to the part or to your console caused by fitting.

If you're not comfortable doing the work yourself, we strongly recommend using our professional repair service instead. Your 6-month legal cover for a genuine hidden defect (above) still applies either way.

What a Defect Means — and What It Doesn't

Because these parts are fitted by you or your technician, we cover faults that are in the part itself. We can't cover damage that happens during or after fitting. So a claim is not covered where, on inspection, the part shows:

Damage caused by fitting

Damage caused by soldering, heat or an installation attempt — for example lifted pads, overheated or burnt components, or bridged or bent pins.

Physical damage

Bent pins, cracked boards, broken connectors, or forced or incorrect fitting.

Liquid damage

Signs of moisture, spills, or corrosion.

Electrical damage

Damage from a power surge, lightning, or load-shedding, or electrical damage caused by the console or device the part was fitted to.

These are the same real-world causes that damage parts after they leave us — they are not a way to avoid a genuine defect claim.

How We Check, Fairly

Before we decide any claim, the part must be returned to us so we can inspect and test it. Please keep your proof of purchase (your order number) — you'll need it to claim.

When we receive the part, we inspect it and tell you what we find. If it was defective and hasn't been damaged in fitting, we repair, replace or refund it and cover the return shipping. If the inspection shows the damage above, we'll explain why it isn't covered and send you photos on request.

Test It Before You Fit It

Fragile parts (power supplies, cables, ribbons, ports, laser lenses, IC/BGA chips) are easy to damage during fitting, and once soldered or installed we usually can't tell a factory fault from a fitting fault. Please check a part works before you install or solder it, and tell us within 48 hours of delivery if it's faulty on arrival (see DOA below). Your 6-month legal cover for a genuine hidden defect still stands.

Pre-Owned (Pulled) & Refurbished Parts

Some parts are pre-owned (“pulled”) — original parts taken from a working console — or refurbished. Each such product says so in its description. These are tested and working, but may show light marks or scratches.

Cosmetic marks that were disclosed are part of what you're buying and are not a fault. Everything else in the warranty above — including your 6-month cover for a genuine defect — applies to these parts exactly as it does to new ones.

DOA (Dead on Arrival) Claims

of receiving the item

of receipt

Steps for DOA Claims

  1. Contact us immediately via email or WhatsApp
  2. Provide your order number, a description of the fault, and photos/video if possible
  3. Don't install or attempt to use the item further
  4. We'll arrange collection and send a replacement or refund

Warranty Claim Process

If your item fails within the warranty period:

  1. Contact us with:
    • Order number and purchase date
    • Description of the problem
    • Photos/video showing the issue
  2. Return & inspection:

We provide a Return Authorisation (RA) number and you send the part back so we can inspect and test it (see “How We Check, Fairly” above).

  3. Shipping:
    • Valid claim (defect confirmed): we cover shipping costs both ways
    • No defect found: the part is returned to you and you cover the return shipping
  4. Repair, replacement or refund:
    • Within 6 months, for a confirmed defect, the choice of repair, replacement or refund is yours under the Consumer Protection Act.
    • In practice we normally offer a tested replacement first, because it's the fastest way to get you going again — but the choice remains yours.
    • For a goodwill return in the days 8–14 window, or a claim made after 6 months, whether we offer a replacement, a shop credit or a refund is at our discretion.
  5. Turnaround Time:

5-10 business days from receipt of the item. We'll keep you updated on progress.

Warranty Limitations

  • Our goodwill warranty is non-transferable (only valid for the original purchaser). This applies to our own goodwill warranty and does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
  • The warranty does not cover consumables or normal wear and tear
  • Repaired or replaced items carry the remainder of the original warranty or 30 days, whichever is longer
  • We are not responsible for data loss or software configuration
  • The warranty covers the specific part purchased; it does not cover separate damage to your console caused by fitting

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits or removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. Where anything here appears to conflict with those rights, your statutory rights apply.
