Please read these terms carefully before using our repair services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the services of Console Service Centre ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms apply to all repair services, courier services, and purchases made through Console Service Centre, whether in person, by phone, or through our website at www.consoleservicecentre.co.za.
2. Services We Provide
Console Service Centre specialises in the repair of gaming consoles, including:
- PlayStation 4 (Original, Slim, Pro)
- PlayStation 5 (Digital Edition, Disc Edition)
- Xbox One (Original, S, X)
- Xbox Series S and X
Services NOT Provided:
- Controller repairs
- Accessory repairs (headsets, cables, etc.)
- PC repairs
- Nintendo console repairs
- Older generation consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, and earlier)
3. Repair Process
Diagnosis: All consoles are diagnosed upon receipt. A detailed assessment will be provided along with a repair quote.
Approval: No repair work will commence without your approval of the quoted price. Diagnostic fees may apply for consoles not proceeding with repair.
Turnaround Time: Standard repair times are typically 3-7 business days, depending on the complexity of the repair and parts availability. We will keep you informed of progress.
Communication: We communicate primarily via WhatsApp and phone. Please ensure your contact details are correct and that you respond to our messages promptly.
4. Pricing and Payment
Quotations: All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
Payment Methods: We accept bank transfer (EFT), cash, and card payments via Yoco.
Payment Terms: Full payment is required before your console is released. For courier deliveries, payment must be received before dispatch.
Additional Costs: If additional issues are discovered during repair that were not part of the original quote, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. You have the right to decline additional work.
5. Warranty Terms
6-Month Money-Back Warranty: All repairs performed by Console Service Centre come with a 6-month money-back warranty from the date of collection or delivery.
This warranty covers:
- The specific repair work performed
- Parts installed during the repair
- Labour related to the original repair
Warranty Exclusions:
- New faults or issues unrelated to the original repair
- Physical damage occurring after repair (drops, liquid damage, etc.)
- Damage caused by power surges or incorrect power supply
- Consoles that have been opened or modified after our repair
- Water or liquid damage
- Insect damage (cockroaches, ants, or other pests)
- Modified, jailbroken, or tampered consoles
To claim under warranty, contact us with your original repair reference number. The console must be returned to us for assessment.
6. 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with the repair within 14 days of collection, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to resolve any issues at no additional cost.
This guarantee applies to the quality of the repair work and does not cover unrelated faults or damage caused after collection.
7. Limitations and Liability
Pre-Existing Damage: We document the condition of your console upon receipt. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, including scratches, dents, or cosmetic issues.
Data Loss: We are not responsible for any data loss during repairs. It is your responsibility to back up all saved games, accounts, and data before submitting your console for repair.
Unfixable Consoles: Some consoles may be beyond repair due to extensive damage or component failure. In such cases, we will advise you of your options, which may include returning the console as-is (diagnostic fee may apply) or disposing of it on your behalf.
Third-Party Modifications: Consoles that have been modified, jailbroken, or tampered with by third parties may have limited warranty coverage or may not be eligible for repair.
Maximum Liability: Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the repair service.
8. Customer Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the fault and console history
- Back up all data before submitting your console for repair
- Remove all discs from the console before submission
- Sign out of accounts if you prefer (we do not access your accounts)
- Respond promptly to our communications regarding your repair
- Collect or arrange delivery within 30 days of repair completion (storage fees may apply after this period)
- Ensure someone is available to receive courier deliveries
9. Courier Services
We offer nationwide courier collection and delivery through our partner, The Courier Guy.
Packaging: Please ensure your console is securely packaged for transit. We recommend using the original box if available. We are not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging during collection.
Transit Risk: Neither Console Service Centre nor the courier company accepts responsibility for loss or damage during transport. Unfortunately, courier insurance is not available for second-hand electronics as their value cannot be determined by insurance providers. By using our courier service, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Delivery Address: Ensure you provide an accurate delivery address where someone will be available to receive the parcel. Failed deliveries may incur additional charges.
Courier Fees: Courier fees are quoted separately from repair costs and must be paid in advance.
10. Cancellation and Refunds
Before Repair Begins: You may cancel at any time before repair work commences. A diagnostic fee may apply if your console has already been assessed.
After Repair: Once repair work has been completed, cancellation is not possible. Refunds are available only under our warranty terms if the repair fails.
Abandoned Consoles: Consoles not collected or paid for within 90 days of repair completion notification will be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to dispose of abandoned items.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of Console Service Centre or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written consent.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
These terms are also subject to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under the CPA.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
