Please read these terms carefully before purchasing from our online shop.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order through the Console Service Centre online shop, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our online shop.
These terms apply specifically to purchases made through our online shop at www.consoleservicecentre.co.za. For repair service terms, please see our Repair Terms of Service.
2. Product Information & Technical Nature
Important Notice
The gaming console parts and accessories sold through our online shop are technical components intended for repair and replacement purposes. Many of these items require:
- •Technical knowledge of electronics
- •Soldering skills and specialised equipment
- •Understanding of console hardware architecture
- •Proper tools and experience with delicate components
Customer Responsibility
By purchasing these products, you acknowledge that:
- •You possess the necessary skills to install/use the products, OR you will seek professional assistance from a qualified technician
- •Opening your console may void manufacturer warranties
- •Incorrect installation can damage your console or the purchased part
- •Console Service Centre is not liable for damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or use by unqualified persons
Recommendation
If you lack the technical skills required, we strongly recommend using our professional repair service instead of DIY installation. Contact us on WhatsApp to book a repair.
3. Pricing & Payment
- •All prices displayed on our website include 15% VAT unless otherwise stated
- •Prices are in South African Rands (ZAR)
- •Payment is required upfront for all orders, including in-store pickups
- •We accept payment via Yoco (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay)
- •Payment must be successfully processed before order fulfilment begins
4. Order Acceptance
- •Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance
- •We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion
Reasons for cancellation may include: product unavailability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or incomplete information. If we cancel your order, we will provide a full refund within 7 business days.
5. Stock Availability
- •Stock levels displayed on our website are updated regularly but are not guaranteed
- •When you place an order, stock is reserved immediately
If we cannot fulfil your order due to stock issues, we will notify you within 24 hours and offer a full refund or notification when stock is available.
6. Delivery & Collection
Courier Delivery
- •Delivered via courier services (Courier Guy or similar)
- •Delivery times: 3-5 business days for major centres, 5-7 days for remote areas
- •Tracking information will be provided once dispatched
- •Signature required upon delivery
- •You must inspect the package BEFORE signing for it (see Section 7)
In-Store Pickup
- •Available at our Boksburg workshop: 6 Bester Street, Witfield, Boksburg
- •Operating hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday-Saturday 08:00-13:00
- •We will notify you via email when your order is ready for collection
- •Bring your Order Number and ID when collecting
- •Payment must be completed online before collection
7. Inspection Upon Delivery
CRITICAL
You must inspect your parcel BEFORE signing for delivery.
- •Open the package in the presence of the courier driver
- •Check that all items are present and undamaged
- •DO NOT sign for the package if anything is missing or damaged
- •Once you sign, you are accepting the goods in their delivered condition
For Concealed Faults
If a fault is not visible during inspection (e.g., only becomes apparent when installing or testing), you must:
- STOP immediately - do not continue installation or use
- Contact us within 48 hours via email (help@consoleservicecentre.co.za) or WhatsApp (+27 87 550 2307)
- Do not install or solder the part - this voids warranty claims
8. Prohibited Use
You agree NOT to use any products purchased from us for:
- ✗Any illegal purposes
- ✗Piracy or circumventing copy protection systems
- ✗Playing games you do not own legitimate licenses for
- ✗Any activity that infringes on intellectual property rights
We do not supply firmware, software, or any materials intended to enable piracy. Do not contact us with questions about illegal use - we will not respond.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- •We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- •Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the product(s)
- •We are not responsible for data loss, console damage, or loss of use resulting from product installation or use
- •Customer assumes all risk when installing technical components
10. Privacy & Data Protection
- •We collect personal information (name, email, phone, address) to fulfil orders
- •Your data is stored securely and used only for order processing, delivery, and customer support
- •We comply with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act)
- •We will never sell or share your data with third parties (except courier services for delivery)
- •You can request deletion of your data by contacting us

11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the online shop after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
Consumer Rights Notice
These terms do not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa. You are entitled to fair, honest, and transparent dealings.
