How send-in works
You book it and box it. We handle the courier, the repair and the trip home, and you pay nothing until the repair is done.

Box the console
Console only, in a sturdy box with bubble wrap on every side. Put a note inside with your name and cell number. How to pack it
The Courier Guy collects it
They fetch the box from your door anywhere in South Africa and bring it to our workshop in Boksburg. You get the tracking details.
We check it and send a quote
We tell you on WhatsApp when it arrives, find the fault and send you a quote. Nothing gets repaired until you say yes.
We repair it
Right now repairs take 1-2 working days on our bench once you approve. Board-level repairs can take a little longer.
You pay once, it comes home
One invoice covers the repair and the courier. Once it's paid, we pack the console and courier it back to your door.
How to box your console
Packing takes about ten minutes. Neither we nor the courier can insure second-hand electronics in transit, so a well-packed box is the only protection your console has.
In the box
- The console itself
- A note with your name and cell number
Leave at home
- Power and HDMI cables (we test on our own)
- Discs (take them out of the drive)
- Stands, covers and anything else
Packing it
- Use a sturdy cardboard box, not a bag. The original box is ideal.
- Wrap the console in bubble wrap so every side is covered. Tape the wrap closed.
- Pad the bottom of the box, put the console in, then fill every gap until it can't move when you shake the box.
- Keep the box to about 40 × 30 × 15 cm. Bigger boxes cost extra to courier.
- Tape every seam shut. Don't write what's inside on the outside.

Questions people ask before sending
How much does the courier cost?
Courier for collection and return together is R400 in Johannesburg & Pretoria, R600 in Cape Town & Durban and up to R800 in other areas. Your exact figure is a live The Courier Guy quote for your address, and it goes on the same invoice as your repair. A box bigger than 40 × 30 × 15 cm costs extra.
Do I pay anything upfront?
No. We check the console first and send you a quote on WhatsApp. Diagnosis is free when you go ahead with the repair. You pay one invoice (the repair plus the courier) once the work is done, and then we courier the console back.
How long will it take?
Right now repairs take 1-2 working days on our bench once you approve the quote, plus courier transit each way. Courier transit is run by The Courier Guy, so we can't promise a delivery day, but you get the tracking details. Board-level repairs can take a little longer.
What if it can't be fixed?
You don't pay for a repair. If you want the console back, the R599 bench fee and the courier both ways apply. If you'd rather we recycle it, you pay nothing at all.
Is my console insured in transit?
No. Courier insurance isn't available for second-hand electronics, so neither we nor the courier can cover damage in transit. Packing it well is what protects it.
What warranty do I get?
Every repair gets our 6-month money-back warranty, wherever you live. If the same fault comes back within 6 months, we fix it free or refund what you paid for the repair.
Can I use my own courier?
Yes. Pack it the same way and send it to 6 Bester Street, Witfield, Boksburg. WhatsApp us first so we know it's on the way.
