Xbox One Original – Overheating or very loud
The console gets very hot, the fan sounds like a jet engine, or it switches off in the middle of a game.
Most of the time dust has built up inside and the thermal paste has dried out. A full service sorts that out. If the fan itself is worn, we replace it.

What happens next: we check your Xbox One Original first. Once we've seen it, we send you the final price on WhatsApp, and we only start the repair when you say yes.
Good to know
- Every repair comes with a 6-month warranty on the work we did.
- If you go ahead, checking the console is included in the repair price. If you decide not to, or it can't be fixed, there's a R599 bench fee.
- Most repairs are done within 1-2 working days, depending on how busy the workshop is. Board-level repairs can take a little longer.
- Not close to Boksburg? We can collect your console anywhere in South Africa and courier it back to you (plus courier transit each way).
