If your PS4 won’t turn on this is a problem that we might need to look at and repair for you.
But if the PS4 won’t turn on there are still a few things you could try to see if it does come right.
If it still doesn’t come right with these few D.I.Y options, please fill in the free estimate form at the bottom of this page to see what the repair will cost if we fixed it for you.
Please remember these are very basic steps to try and get the PS4 to power up again
- Let’s start with the most obvious of all, is it plugged in, have you tested something else on the same plug point and it works? or have you ever tried to change the 2 point plug with another one?
- With the first PS4 that came out, they had a terrible power button to switch them on, you would push it 10 times just to get it to switch on. Try pressing the eject button to see if it beeps and then try switching it on again.
- Try plugging the PS4 out at the wall completely and leave it unplugged for 10 to 15 minutes and try switching it on again.
- If this still doesn’t work try plugging it out at the wall for a longer period of time, let’s say about an hour or two so the capacitors drain their storage power inside the power supply completely and see if it comes on then.
If all the D.I.Y tips above don’t work there is a more serious problem and we will need to do a repair for you on your PS4.
If you have a gaming repair and it’s still within its 1-year warranty from when you bought it on your receipt, please contact the warranty agents to get it repaired under warranty.
